I often have my clients ask me how often should I was my curly hair? This can depend on several factors, including your hair type, scalp condition, lifestyle and personal preference. Here are some general guidelines:

  1. Hair Type:

    Loose Curls/Waves - typically, every 3-5 days.

Tight Curls - every 7-14 days.

Coily Hair - every 1-2 weeks.

  2. Scalp Condition:

Oily Scalp - may require more frequent washing (every 2-3 days).

Dry Scalp - less frequent washing is usually better (every 7-10 days).

3. Lifestyle Factors:

If you exercise frequently, you might need to wash your hair more often.

If you are exposed to humidity or pollutants you may also need to wash more frequently.

4. Hair Products Used:

If you use heavy styling products, you may need to wash your hair more often to prevent buildup.

5. Personal Preference:

Ultimatley, it's important to listen to your hair and scalp. Adjust your washing routine based on how your hair feels and looks.

CONCLUSION: Experiment with your unique curly hair and find the washing frequency that works best for you and your lifestyle.
